I think FL_Scroll should have the same behaviour like Fl_Group if "deactivate()" is called. But Fl_Scroll doesn't draw its background inactive and I think a patch like the attached would be necessary.

Thanks for the report. You didn't post the patch as you wrote. Can you please post one?

Note: dropped priority from High to Low. This is only a minor issue. This will probably not be changed in 1.3.x. A possible fix may be applied in FLTK 1.4.0 though.

Fl_Scroll is somewhat special in handling its background, particularly if you set a FRAME of NO_BOX box type.

Patch looks good to me; it only addresses the situation where
a background /is/ drawn with fl_rectf().
