Sorry Duncan; I never saw this...

A few minor observations:

- For 1.3.2 (and 1.3.x) we should maybe emphasise that whilst the ABI is incompatible with 1.1.x, the API is (largely) the same and the vast majority of 1.1.x code will Just Work if compiled with 1.3.x.

I think that's a point worth making as an "innocent bystander" looking at this page for insights might not know that.

- For 1.3.x, UTF8 support allows for more languages than just Greek and Cyrillic - indeed, the orthography of Greek and Cyrillic languages is sufficiently similar to most Latin languages that LGC are usually grouped together as being broadly "the same". With UTF8 support (and suitable fonts available) we can render glyphs for pretty much any UTF8 supported language.

However... we should probably also say that we provide *no* text rendering engine for composing complex scripts, so users that want to render complex scripts will need to provide their own text layout engine (usually ICU or Pango I guess...)
And this could be *a lot* of people, most of the Indic languages, Semitic languages (either Arabic or Hebrew really need complex text layout handling to pick variant letter forms, for example), and so on.

- 1.3.x; The support for RtoL scripts "works" but is kinda clunky...

- 1.2.x: 1.3.x absorbed most of the changes that were in 1.2, albeit in slightly changed forms in some places.

- 3.x will currently compile *most* 1.3.x code, and *some* fltk2 code, but is incomplete and currently taking a bit of a break...
