OK, I tried it (I removed the "special" behavior) and you're absolutely
correct. Scrolling would smear the text all over the widget.
Instead of disabling the box(), try setting it to FL_FLAT_BOX.
If you make sure the color() of the background is the same as the
parent widget,
it won't seem visible.
Again, that's the correct way to solve the issue as a user.
