As well as <u> tag handling - these are the things I really lack.

Reassigned this as a low priority STR against 1.1.x, since there are no API compatibility issues...

And it'd be just great if there was something like text selection in Fl_Help_View :)

Fixed in Subversion repository.

Please try the attached patch (or tomorrows snapshot) and let me know if you run into any problems.

It's working just fine (I replaced Fl_Help_View.cxx from version 1.1.6 with the one from SVN). Should I post text selection request as another STR or is it also being considered?

Post the text selection request separately; we'll do it for 2.0, but we can't change 1.1.x (it would break binary compatibility...)
