| Click inside the fullscreen window, then click on the panel. The OS X menu bar will appear along with (if it was previously showing) the Dock.
There is no comparable behavior in Windows and X11 -- both continue in fullscreen mode without showing elements from the desktop. | |

| Following a long and detailed discussion visible at https://github.com/fltk/fltk/pull/277 about how fullscreen windows should behave, it appears that leaving them above the dock also when they loose focus has a very bad side effect to prevent using Cmd+Tab to change the front application.
I have therefore undone the change done in 2015, and a fullscreen window, together with a non-modal or modal window above it, will appear below the dock, not to loose the effect of Cmd+Tab. | |
