I used the same basic idea from FLUID this as well. The command line launch will not open the Display at all. Without any command line args, we get the interactive version. I doubt that anyone will try to run in GUI mode as superbster. Admins tend to use command lines. fl_preferences will not give an error though if it can't write the system settings. May I should add that at some point.
