I updated my Cygwin to check this and now I can't compile anything anymore.
Cygwin is driving me nuts and I suggest dropping Cygwin support
alltogether!

OK, I am kidding, but how in the world do I uninstall and reinstall
Cygwin? I could not find an uninstall script.
