Short answer:
- IMHO we can rule out the
objcopy approach because it's not portable
- all that "prefixing" stuff I mentioned before works with
#define ... which is not desirable but may be the only working solution
- AFAICT the provided prefixing in zlib uses 'z_' as prefix (no other option), which may suffice for FLTK internally but may again lead to conflicts if the user links with yet another zlib with (the same) prefix
I'll investigate further...
