Hi Gonzalo,

thanks you for your very nice idea to contribute to FLTK. Please understand that we can not check mails daily on the multiple discussions groups, and reactions sometimes take a while until our daily chores, jobs, families etc. allow us to react to FLTK messages, as for most (all?) of us, writing for this library is a hobby.

I couldn't have said it better. Thank you, Gonzalo, for your great offer, this is very much appreciated.

As for me personally, I appreciate your offer very much. I would like to ask the other devs for suggestions on how to use this amount in a way that benefits FLTK. Not sure who is currently paying the registration fees for fltk.org, but maybe this would make up for some of the server cost and help FLTK.org to stay online? @Albrecht?

Currently Greg ("Erco") is paying for the FLTK server hosting and I believe this would be the best choice to help with money. However I don't know how to transfer the money (technically) and to organize such donations transparently if possible. I'm not sure if there is an account of the hosting company that can be used to accumulate some money to pay the bills in advance or whatever. Such details could only be answered by Greg.

I've received Gonzalo's contribution this morning, and it will all go towards
the hard costs of maintaining the FLTK webserver/domain.

If someone knows of a good way to open "an account for donations" (Paypal or whatever) or something similar which we can use to pay for the server all input would be appreciated.

Ya, here in the US it's kinda complicated -- basically some kind of non-profit
entity I think needs to be created, as there's tax implications for any kind of "income",
    Not sure about other countries.

There's a bit written on the web about setting up open source contributions,
and there's web services like Patreon that manages donations and such.
We can probably discuss offline about the details amongst the devs.
