OK, yes, you're right, thanks for the heads-up. I wrote this article
way before 2FA became a requirement and I intended to add more info
anyway. Time went by and I've been busy with other stuff.
I should really add a note about 2FA, but please don't hold your
breath...
It's not my lazyness but I believe that nobody can
describe this better than the GitHub folks themselves.

Well, they really *can* describe it better than I could with
all the different options. The question is how they do it and how
easy it is to find the appropriate information if you need it. :-(
