If you can, it would be useful to annotate it; say it's outdated now
(i.e. usable for outdated FLTK 1.1), and refer users to the current
README.CMake.txt

I've kept it short and simple and prefaced the ForFLTK page with:

    Disclaimer:
        This page was originally created in 2008 because the even older
        FindFLTK module, written for FLTK-1.1, was never really updated.
        Users should consult the README.CMake.txt in the FLTK-1.4 weekly
        snapshots, or the git repository for up-to-date information.

I haven't touched the FindFLTK module page
