Mmm, not sure, I think I opened this at your request. It's a very general issue that spans a lot of code, and I'm guessing there's a lot of very careful coding needed to solve, which is why I didn't assign it to myself.

I'm guessing not all warnings have been solved, and there's the added problem of VS showing lots of warnings the first time, then less warnings subsequent builds as fire-eggs pointed out.

I'll try a fresh build with current 1.4.x in VS and grab all the warnings and paste em here. Folks more knowledgeable about these conversions than I should probably get involved. I thought I understood conversions, but there's so many weird corner cases, I'm not so sure anymore..
