@RokerHRO : what you said about the usage of UTF-8 strings in FLTK does IMHO hit the point very well (input/output of text and labels). Everything else like text rendering is done by system functions and (in the case of X11) optionally Pango. Exceptions see above.

sigh Yes, the unicode.html is full of outdated or just plain wrong statements. Far to much to mention them all here. Perhaps I should open a separate ticket for that?

All valid input and help is always welcome. An issue or even a PR that helps to fix the docs would be appreciated as well.
