The fl_utf8*() docs are kinda thin, and should show some code examples for intended use.
ACK. Especially to avoid wrong assumptions and usages.
fl_utf_strcasecmp() – I guess it just compares lexicographical by ascending Unicode codepoint. That's different than ordering in most natural languages would work, but as long as it is properly documented I can live with that. But the question stays: What is this function good or intended for?
- The maximum increase in string length for uppercase mapping is factor 3 (e.g. for U+0390), for lowercase mapping it is factor 1.5 (e.g. for U+130), except in bizarre corner cases in Lithuanian case mapping rules, where a lowercase i will be uppercased into 3-octet-sequence, if another accent follows (but you cannot compose a whole string with that).
