FWIW: the mentioned fix in svn r12000 has also been committed in svn r12001
to the so-called "porting" branch at that time which is now the 'master'
branch (1.4.0 development). Git commit ID's are (for later reference):

The fix in branch-1.3 is included in FLTK 1.3.4.
