| Trying to picture this; if there's no room to the right, and there's even less room to the left, it sounds like there's basically no room to show it. If not right or left, what else can it do?
Can you include a screenshot?
On linux you can take a delayed screenshot (so you have time to setup the menus) by running in the terminal: sleep 10; xwd -root > /tmp/foo.xwd ; convert /tmp/foo.xwd /tmp/foo.jpg
On mac you can do something similar: sleep 10; screencapture /tmp/foo.png
