When assigning a tooltip to a tab one would expect that the tooltip pops up when the mouse moves over the tab. Instead the tooltip is activated when entering the "card" area where one puts the children. If one adds a child that covers the whole card area the tab tooltip is overridden by the child's tooltip and hence completely invisible...

Good catch. The first issue is definetly worth fixing. The second isuue however is standard behavior. Whenever widgets are overlapping, the topmost widget (rather the "child"most) delivers the tooltip.

Fixed in Subversion repository.
