I had a short look at Romans version too and it also works better in
this situation, I'll have a closer look.
If you do, use last version from STR #3296 which fixes a bug...

Hi Roman,
I tried this version and it works pretty good, but I have issues with
transparent images: Resizing may lead to artefacts.
I attache a screenshot of a transparent image (also attached) resized
with FLTK's and your algorithm. Do you have an idea what may be wrong?
